We are working with a well established retail firm in Clapham. Our Client is seeking a Management Accountant who is looking to step up into a sole Finance Manager position. The individual will be a highly-organised, forward-thinking finance professional looking to join a small team. This will be a varied role responsible for managing and reporting on all aspects of the Company's finances.

Reporting to the Company Directors, this is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role within the business.

Main responsibilities as Finance Manager will include:

• Management of the company accounts and finances on a sole charge basis

• Accurate processing of sales invoices

• Accurate processing of source data - cost coding and authorisation of purchase invoices, with regular reconciliation of creditor balances.

• Bookkeeping and competent administration and management of all company ledgers and bank reconciliations

• Processing monthly prepayments / accruals and reconciliations.

• Producing cash flow forecasts

• Proactive monitoring of aged balances - producing supplier payment schedules and credit control of due debtor balances

• Submission and reconciliation of statutory liabilities (quarterly VAT returns, PVA statements, PAYE) adhering to deadlines at all times.

• Preparation and presentation of management accounts, providing analysis and guidance to company Directors.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years finance experience in a similar sole charge role and have experience using Xero.

Candidates will have strong book keeping experience and exposure to management accounting.
