Finance Manager (Stock & Supply)

The Organisation:

Due to company growth and in line with the continued strategy of the business an opportunity has become available as a Finance Manager (Stock & Supply Chain).

The Role:

  • Monitor and control the day-to-day activities of the supply chain and stock accounting team.
  • Full ownership of monthly and quarterly forecasts, including monthly variance to actual reviews
  • Preparation and review of the month end reporting requirements
  • Ensure standardisation and consistency of postings and processes
  • Ensure the correct pricing for products is reflected in SAP
  • Liaising with Territory Finance and Operations to resolve group accounting and operational issues
  • Review of current operational processes and procedures to ensure we maintain best practise
  • Training and Coaching of the Stock Accountant and Stock and Supply Chain Accountant to cover key responsibilities
  • Maintain process documentation
  • Ad hoc analysis as and when required
  • Technical support and coaching where required for non-finance staff
  • Assistance with internal and external audit requirements as and when required
  • Comply with existing SOX controls, work with the SOX team to document new processes or amend existing processes
  • Ad hoc support on projects as and when require

You will need:

  • Previous stock accounting experience within a FMCG/Consumer business
  • Previous financial accounting experience preferably working within a dynamic FMCG environment.
  • Previous experience of management and mentoring of staff
  • Good technical knowledge of IFRS, UK and US GAAP
  • Prior financial accounts experience.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Systems literate - Proven experience of SAP, Business Warehouse, BPC with an intermediate level of Excel competency
