About the role

An opportunity has arisen to work for a leading multi-national organisation. Owing to internal changes this organisation is seeking a commercially astute finance professional to work closely with Operations.

The responsibilities:

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will gain exposure to end to end finance. Your main duties will include:

  • Directly manage 2 direct members for Accounting Controlling
  • Indirect-team members management for the Business Support and PMO role
  • Manage Accounting Controlling team to perform, review and approval of monthly reporting of over 30 entities
  • Review and assess impacts on changes of Group reporting, provide guidance to group companies on changes of reporting requirements
  • Set time-table for group company and Accounting Services team on reporting deadline, ensure adherence to deadlines set by Head office
  • Regional communication and customisation of reporting instructions and change requests from Head office. Ensuring requirements are clearly defined and with sufficient and concise guidelines
  • Close liaison with International Accounting Department to ensure consolidation adjustments are correctly reflected
  • Support Business Line Companies and Corporate Departments, from the perspective of Accounting, to achieve initiatives in-line the organisation Medium Term Management Plan
  • Liaison and collaboration with Business Line Companies and Corporate Departments (playing a leading/supporting role) to achieve common organisational goals
  • Oversee the function and performance of the Business Support team. Ensure a high standard of service level delivered in each project
  • Liaise with external auditors to plan and co-ordinate group and statutory audits
  • Review impact and application of new IFRS accounting standards and Group Accounting policies.

The successful applicant must:

  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet tight deadlines whilst managing conflicting priorities;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of accounting treatments (UK GAAP and IFRS);
  • Proven ability in Management & Financial Accounting
