My client, have exclusively tasked KPC to hire their next Acting Head of Central Finance.

This role is an opportunity to join my clients dynamic Finance team. The challenging and rewarding position combines the ability to utilise and develop forecasting, financial accounting and treasury skills with an opportunity to develop management skills, with a team of four part qualified staff. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Overall responsibility of the Central Finance team, providing support to all central departments including General and Admin, Finance, Systems, HR
• Managing four part qualified accountants
• Preparation and co-ordination of the of the UK business' forecasts for central teams
• Liaison with Head Office Finance team and UK Heads of Department of central teams
• Preparing the European Group consolidation including co-ordinating international finance teams
• Preparing UK statutory accounts
• Planning and co-ordinating the external and internal audits
• Ad hoc project work
• Reviewing the monthly balance sheets, cashflows and bank reconciliations
• Preparing tax computations and VAT returns and liaising with tax advisors
• Identifying and implementing improvements to the forecasting and reporting processes

• Qualified ACA or ACCA candidate (3-4 years PQE) Big 4 preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a pro-active approach to challenges
• Strong organisational skills
• Experience of consolidation and accounts preparation
• Experience of VAT
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS an advantage
