Job description

Our client who is a Global Tech firm are looking to expand their current HR team. As HR Advisor you will report directly to the HR Director assisting in the set up of the HR function.

The Senior HR Advisor role provides first line support to line managers and colleagues. Supporting the global People team and focusing on delivering an outstanding service, the role plays a critical part in ensuring all HR administration is managed in an accurate and timely manner.

Duties as HR Advisor:

  • Act as the 1st point of contact for HR queries, from managers and colleagues, and escalate as appropriate.
  • Manage maternity, paternity leave and probation for colleagues as well as advising managers and colleagues on policy and process. Ensure that policies are amended in line with any changing legislation.
  • Responsible for ensuring the HRIS is accurate, up to date and instigate further automation where appropriate. Produce, validate and ensure the accuracy of any reports required liaising with the finance team and payroll accordingly.
  • Ensure that all staff changes are recorded, issue change letters, respond to tenancy and employment reference requests and any other ad hoc queries.
  • Arranging, and attending, interviews, issuing offer letters, contracts of employment, ensuring right to work documentation is in place, background checks and screening.
  • Supporting managers, and the HR team, when onboarding new colleagues and organising company induction programmes and swag.

Essential requirements:

  • Solid background in HR administration issuing contracts of employment and other documentation
  • Deep technical knowledge of HR systems applied in the support of operational activity
  • Knowledge of current legislation relating to work eligibility requirements
  • Self-motivated, pro-active and able to work on own initiative without close supervision
