Job description
My Client are a reputable Sports firm based in the heart of Central London, on the hunt for a HR Manager to manage their People team of 2 and be the first point of contact in HR for 250 employees.
Experience in a boutique firm or stand-alone role is ideal. Sporting experience is desired.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS HR MANAGER
- Provide effective support to the CEO/Owner/Chairperson in the delivery of the HR strategy, objectives and initiatives;
- Responsibility for reviewing and driving the staff appraisal process including the facilitation of any development and training needs that may arise from it;
- Provide effective leadership and supervision to Administration team to meet departmental and personal objectives;
- Review the Company policies and procedures contained within the employee handbook on a regular basis to ensure compliance with current legislation;
- Carry out the induction process for new staff members, including Health & Safety awareness training;
- Facilitate regular Health & Safety refresher training sessions including Fire Awareness and First Aid;
- Manage the HRIS, PeopleHR;
- Oversee safer recruitment procedures are adhered to and work with the safeguarding team
- Regular interaction with the payroll department in respect of the monthly payroll process, covering both the main and casual staff payroll;
- Manage all aspects of the recruitment process across all business areas;
- Deal with all speculative approaches concerning work experience/placements/ internships
- Provide up-to-date confidential advice concerning employment legislation and manage the process concerning potential employment tribunals or other claims;
- Manage the Company fleet;
REQUIREMENTS OF THE HR MANAGER:
- Associate membership of CIPD
- 3-4 years HR experience
- Proven experience of dealing with the following processes; Change Management, Engagement, Disciplinary, Grievance, Severance
- Committed and driven by deadline and results
- Business acumen
- Report writing ability
- Ability to turn ideas into deliverables
