My client is looking for a Senior Project Accountant to join their growing team. Your main task as the Project Accountant is accountability for all finance aspects related to projects, including taking ownership of projects, billing, costs, purchase orders and revenue requisitions. Supporting customers and the internal team reporting to the Head of Project accounting.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Project Management

• Process PIFs and set-up all new projects within Oracle

• Ensure all contract variances and changes to revenue are reflected within approved forecasts on the system

• Work with the Head of Project Accounting and team members to ensure forecast costs to completion are up to date

• Revenue recognitions

• Raising of project related purchase requisitions and tracking purchase orders

• Business partner with various teams
  
  
• Be the go to person for the wider Finance team
  
  
• Ensure all timesheets are completed accurately and in a timely fashion
  
  
• Deal with Multi-Million pound contracts over various currencies

AR/Billing

• Produce all draft invoices for all designated areas and distribute to Head of Project Management to review

• Ensure responses are collated and actioned in a timely manner

• Liaise with other team members to ensure resolution of all queries

• Ensure invoices are sent to clients and relevant cut-off deadlines are met.

WHO YOU ARE?

• Previously experience of working with accounting systems ideally Oracle

• Seasoned Project Manager with various projects under your belt
  
  
• Studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA OR have previously studied

• Proficient in Excel

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Strong understanding of processes and ability to work within a framework

• Strong academic background

• Proven experience of working in a Finance role as a Project Manager

• Relationship builder - Business partner with non Finance professionals
