An exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join our client, a Global Insurance Company, in their lively Bedford Office. As Receptionist you will be required to provide a professional, friendly and efficient service to all internal and external clients.


  • Ensure clients and visitors are looked after expertly and efficiently
  • Assist with the administration of the meeting room system to ensure the efficient utilisation of both client facing and internal meeting rooms
  • Lead and record expenses of company credit card
  • Assist the Reception Manager when required
  • Administration - assisting with ad-hoc typing duties
  • Observe and carry out all vita security arrangements
  • Assist with booking couriers
  • Assist with operating the switchboard
  • Ensure all reception areas are presentable. Liaise with the cleaning company when needed.
  • Help aid the Hospitality team to ensure that the Client Conference Suite is always orderly

Skills & Experience

  • Technical knowledge re: switchboard
  • Experience of working in a corporate reception team or similar environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deliver high quality face-to-face contact with clients and visitors
  • Maintain a professional manner when answering the telephones
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills
