Job description

Our client, within Retail, are looking for a HR & Talent Coordinator, for their London based team. You will support the hiring process of warehouse and retail staff, as well as entry-level roles in the head office, from sourcing to onboarding. In addition, you will work alongside the HR team to manage inbox, providing support and advice to line managers, This role will partner closely with the Head of Warehouse and Warehouse Manager and you will be required to spend at least one day per week based in their warehouse in Befordshire.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment

  • Development of the new careers site & ATS
  • Identify the most appropriate and cost-effective method of advertising vacancies and sourcing candidates for various areas of the business
  • Sift and first screen all applications for retail and warehouse vacancies, as well as some head office roles
  • Liaise with hiring managers to book interviews
  • Provide on-line or in-person support for all interviews for warehouse vacancies, as well as for retail roles when required
  • Carry out all recruitment administration, including rejection letters, offer paperwork and setting up new starts on the HR system
  • Provide recruitment coaching and advice to hiring managers when needed
  • Ensure that hiring processes are inclusive, non-discriminatory and in line with current GDPR standards
  • Provide hiring managers with the necessary tools to conduct interviews

Employee Relations

  • Support in the day to day management of the HR inbox and HR system tasklist
  • Provide first line advice to managers
  • Contribute to the maintenance of people metrics
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of HR and HR Officer on any other ad-hoc projects that fall out of business requirements or the people plan

Skills & Know-How

  • Currently working as a Recruitment Administrator or has responsibility for recruitment in a retail/FMCG, logistics or hospitality environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of GDPR in relation to recruitment and people management
  • Has, at the minimum, a basic understanding or working knowledge of employment legislation
  • Has high levels of emotional intelligence and drive to understand the business and the expectations of the roles they will be hiring for
  • CIPD qualification not essential
  • Able to work confidently with, and challenge, when necessary, senior members of management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience of using an ATS and posting job adverts is a key part of this role, so demonstrable knowledge is essential
  • Agile and able to work to tight and changeable deadlines, remaining calm and practical when under pressure
  • Is happy to work independently and on own initiative
  • Enjoys working in an informal and flat structure
