Senior Accountant

My client is a globally integrated real estate and investment group with core expertise in shaping cities and creating strong and connected communities based in the West End.

Currently looking for a full time Senior Accountant for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare various financial accounting and reporting tasks to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Prepare financial statements and reports to accurately reflect the company's financial results and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards
• Assist in the planning, preparation, and analysis of management reporting information to support and inform management decisions with regards to financial planning, control and performance management processes
• Exercise independent judgement within defined practices and procedures, apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve problems of moderate complexity
• Mentor and support the graduate accountant to support delivery of day to day activities
• Liase with external accounting provider to maintain consistency across retained and outsourced finance processes

• Harnesses knowledge and experience across the business to design and implement organisation-wide improvement initiatives
• Connects people, processes and ideas within and outside of the industry to create synergies and operational efficiencies
• Builds relationships with key industry thought leaders and SMEs and integrates learning on improvements and efficiencies into organisational strategy

Key Criteria:

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent)

• Experience in Finance and Accounting roles
• Experience in management reporting and applicable legislations
• Sound commercial acumen and understanding of general and transactional accounting, cost accounting and reporting
• Property and infrastructure or investment management industry experience (desirable)
• Experience with TM1 / Cognos / Oracle R12 or similar finance systems
• Technical financial skills as required
