Job description

A top 100 independent accountancy firm within the U.K are full of chartered accountants and business advisors who provide a core accounting service to range of clients from start-ups, owner managed businesses and private companies, to large corporates and international businesses. The accountancy firm are currently looking to expand with a recent role as a Senior Associate Accountant in order to grow and continuing success.

Senior Associate Accountant's main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the financial outsourcing for a portfolio of clients, including but not limited to bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts
  • Ensuring all monthly, quarterly and year end deliverable are met
  • Developing a team of direct reports, including managing performance, setting goals and ongoing training
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Taking ownership of the reported numbers and handling client queries
  • Challenge, establish and maintain financial policies and procedures

To be successful as a Senior Associate Accountant, you are required to have the following:

  • Working towards an internationally recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified)
  • 2+ years of practice/industry experience preferably fund accounting experience
  • Full P&L and Balance Sheet experience
  • Management Accounting experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
