The Company

Our client is a listed company with a global presence in an ever-changing industry. Based in Central London, we are now recruiting for a newly created position as a Statutory Reporting Accountant to join their growing group finance structure. This new role will have group reporting exposure and will report directly to the Group Accounting Manager.

The Role

As the company's Group Statutory Accountant, you will be a highly motivated individual and have a very broad knowledge of all statutory reports. In this newly created role, the successful candidate will be highly analytical, have great communication skills and an enquiry mindset. Displaying your own initiative and logic will be essential to succeed in this role and the following key skills will also be required.

• Manage the group statutory reporting function for the business.
• Complete month end tasks and prepare monthly consolidations
• Prepare the Group's half yearly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Prepare analytical reviews of the Group's balance sheet
• Prepare models for annual impairment testing
• Prepare monthly group consolidation and month end close in Hyperion Financial Management
• Liaise with Auditors

Your Profile

You will ideally be a ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with exposure to Group Statutory Reporting. The successful candidate will also have in-depth knowledge surrounding IFRS accounting standards and ideally be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel. You will also be a self-starter, work on your own initiative and be able to work well under tight deadlines.
