Job description

Global Insurance Company based in the City of London, are looking to recruit a Treasury Analyst to join their expanding Investments & Treasury Department.

Main responsibilities will include;

  • Maintaining daily cash flows along with recommending and executing appropriate action for effective management of treasury
  • Monitor surplus cash balances in global entities for profitable investment opportunities
  • Prepare, analyse and circulate weekly cash reports for monthly cash flow summary and analysis
  • Preparation of weekly/monthly case forecasts and explain the movements and utilisation while liaising with banks for accounts, deposits, redemption and transfers
  • Prepare, implement and maintain controls over bank reconciliations
  • Liaise with credit control teams in London & Germany for timely manual payments and prompt booking of receipts
  • Facilitate new LOC issuance and/or amendments between technical teams and respective banks
  • Maintain LOC records for analysis and up-to-date exposure
  • Monthly distribution of LOC positions to internal stakeholders
  • Bank account opening and maintenance for all global entities, including semi-annual KYC requirements
  • Assisting Investment Operations with cash movement splits for monthly reporting purposes
  • Providing Investment/cash related data to finance teams required for regulatory reporting

To be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience, qualifications and skills;

  • Must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in finance, treasury or a related field
  • CAIA Charter Holder/ACCA/CFA level 1 candidate
  • Knowledge and understanding of Treasury markets, Banking operations and how they operate
  • 1-3 years post-qualification experience within the Insurance, Corporate. Treasury department
  • Ability to manage and negotiate with all stakeholders at different levels, experience of preparing managerial reports
  • Ability to show initiative and take responsibility of tasks and projects assigned
