My client, a leading fund administrator are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their Finance team based in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is part qualified looking to complete their ACCA/CIMA, the successful candidate will demonstrate a desire to grow both personally and professionally within the company.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly and/or quarterly management accounts
• Recording client transactions in designated accounting software, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and accurately
• Preparation of annual statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS
• Preparation of tax declarations to UK tax authorities
• Provide Audit assistance
• Attend clients' meetings and demonstrate professional rapport with all clients
• Responsible for the set-up of newly on-boarded companies in allocated portfolio
• Provide open and transparent communication with clients, third party providers, tax authorities and Companies House
• Accurately record all time spent dealing with client matters to ensure the clients are correctly invoiced

Experience Needed

• Degree Educated (2:1 and above)
• Part Qualified - ACCA/CIMA
• Must have an understanding of financial statements under UK GAAP and/or IFRS
• Understanding of VAT and experience in preparing and submitting VAT returns
• A strong desire to exceed expectations
• Able to meet tight deadlines and a heavy workload
