Your Mission in This Role

  • Design & Implement Cloud Security Policies
    Develop and maintain robust security frameworks across public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

  • Security Monitoring & Incident Detection
    Continuously monitor cloud ecosystems to identify anomalies and flag security-relevant activities in real time.

  • Cloud Risk Management & Emergency Planning
    Lead cloud-specific risk assessments and define proactive measures. Organize and coordinate vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and incident response protocols.

  • Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
    Ensure full adherence to cloud security standards and best practices, particularly ISO/IEC 27017 and 27018.

  • Collaboration & Incident Response
    Partner with internal response teams to investigate, mitigate, and document security incidents as they arise.

  • Enablement & Knowledge Transfer
    Host regular training sessions, workshops, and advisory consultations for stakeholders during cloud adoption or transformation projects.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Educational Foundation
    Degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a related discipline - or equivalent training with a focus on cloud security (e.g. IT specialist).

  • Certifications That Matter
    Recognized security credentials such as CCSP, CEH, or similar are highly valued.

  • Cloud Security Expertise
    Practical experience working in cloud-based environments with a deep understanding of modern threat landscapes.

  • Strong Technical Toolkit
    Proficiency in key cloud security concepts: Identity & Access Management (IAM), VPC design, firewalls, encryption methods, and secure architecture principles for AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Automation Know-how
    Experience implementing automated security controls and using orchestration tools to streamline cloud operations.

  • Network & Application Security
    Solid understanding of securing network, application, and data layers within cloud-native and hybrid setups.

  • Language Proficiency
    Fluent in both German and English, with the ability to communicate clearly across teams and stakeholders.

  • Personal Attributes
    You work independently and with flexibility, tackle challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, and bring clarity to complex technical matters through excellent communication skills.
