Job description
I am currently working with a leading English footwear and clothing brand, operating globally. They are looking for an ambitious, creative and down to earth individual to join the business as a Finance Analyst. As a Finance Analyst you will be responsible for:
- Owning and improving the capital process from initial store appraisal, approval, monitoring and reviewing to post investment appraisals.
- Assisting with production of monthly management accounts for licence income and wholesale sales and communicating with the external licences
- Understanding income streams around the business to effectively identify commercial risks and opportunities and, alongside department heads, identify and implement actions
- Assisting in compiling forecast adjustments and setting the yearly budget
- Compiling and analysing data as required to support Business decisions and assisting the Commercial Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects which involve liaising with other departments around the business
- Update weekly profit and loss forecast files and review outlook with management
- Maintain all systems and processes with respect to capital
- Issue weekly store opening schedule
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis to meet the needs of the Business
- Track capital spend versus budget and action forecast adjustments if necessary
- Produce sales & margin review documents for management team
- Ownership of calculating royalties due from Licensees and other Business Partners
- Review profit and loss accounts as required
As a Finance Analyst you will need:
- A willingness to continue studying for CIMA/ACCA
- Experience within a similar commercial role
- Drive, enthusiasm and passion for retail
- Analytical mind and an aptitude for working with data and figures
- Numerically oriented degree desirable
- Ability to be self-sufficient and enjoy being hands on
- Personal emotional resilience
- Motivated by new challenges
