Financial Controller for a new business backed by a large mulinational business. This role will suit you if you would like to work in a start-up environment and can show experience of process improvements in a previous role. The role will manage junior employees and you will be tasked with developing the financial control environment over time.

Duties:

• Ownership of GL control account reconciliations (lead review and sign-off process; advising Assistant Accountants of required corrective journals);
• Preparation of legal entity management accounts;
• Write detailed commentary;
• Provides bespoke and ad-hoc analytical reports when required;
• Ownership of some departmental and legal entity monthly meetings (interaction with Heads of Department and C-Suite);
• Preparation of analysis;
• Write up and investigation of key variances;
• Preparation of quarterly VAT return;
• Assisting the Chief Accountant with year-end audit and preparation of annual financial statements; including writing of disclosure notes;
• Training and mentoring three Assistant Accountants (currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA qualifications)
