Job description

This role will provide capacity to the FP&A team through reforecast/budget cycles whilst we support the business through project related activity and evolve our own FP&A processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about a dynamic business environment and driven to produce high quality work to tight timelines. The ideal candidate is someone who is experienced with FP&A processes and can add value through analysis, insight and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery and analysis of quarterly forecast and annual budget
  • Proactive engagement both with finance business partners and directly with the divisions and support teams to provide detailed analysis of budgets, plans and forecasts including analysis of income statement, headcount and KPIs to understand main assumptions, key drivers, trends and risks and opportunities
  • Support the delivery of projects, including finance and wider group transformation initiatives
  • Cash flow forecasting, scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
  • Assist in the development of the Group longer term strategic plans with appropriate financial forecasting and metrics
  • Support the development and preparation of board papers including commentary and additional analysis for the executive management
  • Ad hoc analysis as required

Skills, knowledge, expertise:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA), experienced in FP&A processes
  • Highly proficient with Excel and demonstrable experience of financial modelling
  • Strong verbal and written communication with excellent PowerPoint skills
  • High level of attention to detail to deliver work to a high quality, combined with drive and energy to meet tight timelines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop close working relationships with stakeholders, and able to help non-finance stakeholders understand their performance and consequent actions.
  • Experience working with senior personnel within large organisations
  • Inquisitive and analytical mind with a real interest in understanding the overall business
  • Exposure to financial services, in particular fund services business, would be an added advantage
