One of the UK's leading investment companies is recruiting for an experienced financial controller on an interim basis. Direct staff management and wide ranging accounting experience is essential as you will be tasked with managing the financial reporting for various and multiple fund entities from the outset as well as leading a team of accountants. Wide ranging stakeholder management/business partnering will also form a large part of this role. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Lead and develop the finance team
• Assume managerial ownership of the financial reporting for multiple fund entities
• Consolidations and intercompany accounting
• Oversee and review the management accounting function
• Analysis and commentary of the management accounts
• Divisional reports for board meetings
• Production and enhancement of MI reports
• Budgeting and forecasting - managing process, review and analysis
• Assist with Audit, liaison with internal and external audit teams
• Stakeholder management

Fundamental requirements:

• Significant experience of managing a team of accountants
• Substantial experience in a Financial Controller role
• Experience in Investment management is required
• Ability to organise work around tight deadlines
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with excellent communication
• Qualified accountant
• Strong system skills including a major accounting software
