KennedyPearce are now recruiting an Management Accountant on behalf of a global music media company in London.

This role is to provide backfill support across both of the financial accounting and management accounting teams, ensuring that business as usual activities are delivered to the usual high standards that the team achieve.

Reporting to the Finance manager, this role will work across both areas of the finance team. The role will initially be for a fixed term of 12 months. While there is no direct line management, part of the role is reviewing the work of other members of the team. They will also need to work closely with the rest of the Finance department in order to ensure consistency and best practice is maintained across the function.

Support 2019 budget activities

• Working with the management accounts team and budget holders to help produce a 2019 company budget. This will involve supporting budget holders with detailed analysis of 2018 YTD spend, understanding planned activities for 2019, compiling, reconciling and challenging various costs.
• Ensure CFO and other senior finance members understand any areas for challenge ahead of budget meetings with Budget holders and CEO.
• Support consolidation of budget in advance of meetings.
• Revenue recognition
• Booking of international revenue & reconciliations of receipts
• Revenue models
• Update existing revenue models & liaise with other teams to prioritize and produce new models
• Produce Executive financial reporting packs
• Monthly executive pack
• Critically review executive pack and other MI reports with a view to proposing and delivering improvements for greater cost and revenue insight for senior executives
• Cost control & insight
• Produce reports for cost centers, liaise with budget holders and escalate any concerns or significant variances to budget.
• Manage the central cost budget
