Description

  • Manage the day to day relationship with external vendors for all payroll and payroll related system matters, including service level agreements, specialised reporting and system improvements
  • Act as the liaison point between HR and Finance for Payroll and FBT matters
  • Manage the maintenance and processing of fortnightly end to end payroll, including checking and authorising the work of the other payroll team members
  • Critically review and analyse current payroll, benefits and tax procedures and information systems in order to recommend and implement changes and improvements leading to best fit operations
  • Prepare, balance & reconcile payroll, PAYG, Superannuation and other associated payroll generated payments in strict compliance with the relevant legislation
  • Carry out annual functions e.g. production and distribution of payment summaries/STP reporting, processing of salary review outcomes
  • Ensure timely payment of salaries, taxation, superannuation contributions etc., in accordance with legislative, award and policy requirements
  • Annual preparation of data for Workers Compensation insurance premium calculations
  • Coaching and mentoring the Payroll team

Profile

  • Must have 3+ years' in full function payroll
  • Earnie system experience desirable, but not essential
  • Knowledge of payroll legislations
  • Excellent work ethics, positive attitude and highly adept in payroll process improvement
  • Enjoys working in a team, with experience mentoring, coaching and training
