Description
- Manage the day to day relationship with external vendors for all payroll and payroll related system matters, including service level agreements, specialised reporting and system improvements
- Act as the liaison point between HR and Finance for Payroll and FBT matters
- Manage the maintenance and processing of fortnightly end to end payroll, including checking and authorising the work of the other payroll team members
- Critically review and analyse current payroll, benefits and tax procedures and information systems in order to recommend and implement changes and improvements leading to best fit operations
- Prepare, balance & reconcile payroll, PAYG, Superannuation and other associated payroll generated payments in strict compliance with the relevant legislation
- Carry out annual functions e.g. production and distribution of payment summaries/STP reporting, processing of salary review outcomes
- Ensure timely payment of salaries, taxation, superannuation contributions etc., in accordance with legislative, award and policy requirements
- Annual preparation of data for Workers Compensation insurance premium calculations
- Coaching and mentoring the Payroll team
Profile
- Must have 3+ years' in full function payroll
- Earnie system experience desirable, but not essential
- Knowledge of payroll legislations
- Excellent work ethics, positive attitude and highly adept in payroll process improvement
- Enjoys working in a team, with experience mentoring, coaching and training
