Financial Controller for a new business backed by a large multinational company. This role will suit you if you have already worked for a start-up and can show experience of implementing processes, improving efficiency and using initiative. The role will manage junior employees and you will be tasked with developing the financial control environment over time.

Duties:

• Ownership of GL control account reconciliations (lead review and sign-off process; advising Assistant Accountants of required corrective journals);
• Preparation of legal entity management accounts;
• Write detailed commentary;
• Provides bespoke and ad-hoc analytical reports when required;
• Ownership of some departmental and legal entity monthly meetings (interaction with Heads of Department and C-Suite);
• Preparation of analysis;
• Write up and investigation of key variances;
• Preparation of quarterly VAT return;
• Assisting the Chief Accountant with year-end audit and preparation of annual financial statements; including writing of disclosure notes;
• Training and mentoring three Assistant Accountants (currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA qualifications)
